Beth Alcazar, editor-at-large for the USCCA, is an award-winning writer, blogger, and instructor with more than two decades of experience in the firearms industry. Author of “Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals” and “Children’s Firearms & Safety Fundamentals,” she holds degrees in language arts, education, and instruction, and loves to use her experience and enthusiasm to share safe and responsible firearms ownership and usage with others. Beth is a Certified Force Science Analyst with Force Science Institute and has earned certifications with the NRA as a Training Counselor, Chief Range Safety Officer, and Certified Instructor for multiple disciplines. Beth is also a Certified Instructor through ALICE Institute, DRAW School, I.C.E. Training, and SIG Sauer Academy and is a USCCA Certified Instructor and Senior Training Counselor. She also recently testified in Washing D.C. before the House Judiciary Committee at a hearing entitled “Second Amendment Rights Empower Women's Rights.” All in all, Beth most often describes herself as "just a mom with a gun," and in her spare time, she enjoys baking and competitive shooting... and hopes that her AR-15 handling is as smooth as her 7-layer chocolate-cookie cheesecake.
